The Dynamic Surroundings series, which was built using Forge, has a spiritual descendant in this mod. Although most of the functionality is identical, the final feature set will be distinct. Rather than introducing anything innovative, my focus is on expanding the Vanilla element of gameplay. Furthermore, Microsoft is expanding Minecraft with capabilities that fit the holes that Dynamic Surroundings has historically attempted to cover. This pattern is likely to persist.

Remember that the physics of the biomes are unaffected by this mod; it only modifies the player's visual and auditory experience of Minecraft. The user has a great level of control and may tailor their precipitation experience to their preferences.

  • A reverb effect is added to spatial sounds by enhanced sound processing, which makes computations in the background.
  • Individual Sound Control - Configure and activate in-game key bindings. Use this function to block, cull, and adjust the loudness of noises. As an added benefit, you may listen to the sound.
  • Biome sounds: A variety of ambient sounds that are played dependent on the local biomes. As the player wanders across the planet, the sounds merge seamlessly. This does not take the place of the Minecraft feature of a unique biome background sound. This functionality is currently used by the many biomes in the Nether, and Dynamic Surroundings does not have sound sets for that dimension.
  • Effects of heated blocks include vapor where water strikes one and flame jets over lava.
  • When running water is detected nearby, the waterfall sound and visual effect will be activated.
  • Improved versions of Minecraft's thunder sound should be used instead.
  • Several "DS" client-side commands for dumping configuration data. (I'm now using them while creating.) I do want to document it for wider usage at some time.)
  • Custom debug HUD accessible through key binding. Removes the Dynamic Surroundings clutter from the standard F3 display.
