More Geodes Mod [1.19.2, 1.18.2] (Add More Geodes to Your Minecraft World)

The More Geodes Mod for Minecraft 1.19.2, 1.19.1, 1.19, 1.18.2, 1.18.1, 1.18, 1.17.1, 1.16.5 (Fabric & Quilt) adds more distinct forms of Geodes to the game. Amethyst Geodes were included in the Caves and Cliffs update beginning with version 1.17. But it looks lonely being updated alone, thus the game will now include more various Geodes; Emerald Geodes will only exist in Mountain-type biomes.

Because diamond geodes are generated from carbon deposits, they also produce flooded and deep slate coal ore instead of calcite. Finally, Quartz Geodes will only be found in The Nether. Let's get started and learn about the new Geodes that have been added to the game.

With the inclusion of Amethyst Geodes in the Caves and Cliffs Update, I thought Emerald Geodes would be a nice accent to the amethyst geodes. The goal of emerald geodes is to encourage mining for emeralds rather than trading for them, while simultaneously providing less experienced players with a reasonably simple method of cultivating emeralds. This mod has since grown to include Quartz Geodes, Diamond Geodes, and, eventually, Echo Geodes.

Geodes of Emerald

Emerald geodes resemble Amethyst Geodes in appearance and behavior, but they only spawn in Mountain-type biomes. They are a renewable supply of emeralds that can be mechanized without the need for time-consuming villager trade.

Geodes Made of Quartz

Quartz geodes are a bit more unique. While their development dynamics are identical to those of amethyst and emerald geodes, they only form in The Nether and use tuff rather than calcite. Their buds feature a unique oscillator characteristic. They will pulse on and off when powered by an external Redstone signal, emitting their own Redstone signal! As the crystal develops in size, the frequency of these pulses rises.

Geodes Made with Diamonds

Diamond geodes are best compared to miniature goody boxes that you may come upon when mining. Diamonds cannot be produced in these geodes because they lack a blossoming block. They also only have one cluster type, which will drop one diamond when shattered, with the number increasing with fortune. Because diamond geodes are generated from carbon deposits, they also produce flooded and deepslate coal ore instead of calcite (and not in geodes, but hey it's Minecraft).
