Rats Mod 1.16.5, 1.15.2 (Commandable Rats, Trap, Cheese)

Rats Mod 1.16.5, 1.15.2 (Commandable Rats, Trap, Cheese)

Rats Mod for Minecraft 1.16.5, 1.15.2, 1.12.2 Rats, like monsters, are little animals that spawn at night in the overworld. They are normally terrified of players and would flee if they see one. Rats can tunnel through wooden barriers, steal food and seeds from chests, and ruin crops, making them quite a nuisance. Rats may also slip past fences and travel through doorways.

Cheese is used to tame wild rats and for a variety of rat-related crafting techniques, in addition to being a decent food source. This cheese production process, like rat behavior, is very adjustable and may be removed and replaced with cheese from other modding procedures. A wild rat may be tamed by first cornering it and then placing cheese on the ground near it. The full rat will trust the player and become tame after 10-15 feedings.

The inventory of tamed rats may be accessed by interacting with them, and rats can be placed on their head and shoulder by sneak-clicking them. Players may check information about their rat (such as its gender or condition) and instruct the rat to do additional actions on the rat inventory page.

Among the current Rat commanders are:

  • Wander: The rat will move around in a manner comparable to that of a wild animal.
  • Stay Here: The rat will sit and not move.
  • Follow Me: Like a wolf or an ocelot, a rat will follow its owner.
  • Interacting with a rat with a Cheese Staff (Cheese + Stick at crafting table) binds it to the rat. Clicking on an inventory (chest, furnace, other mod's machinery, etc.) will open a GUI where you may mark that inventory for the rat to take or deposit goods from. When the rat has both a marked deposit inventory and a marked pickup inventory, it will start moving objects from one to the other.
  • Harvest: The rat will look around for grass blocks (to break into seeds) or ripe crops to harvest. Using a Cheese Staff to set a deposit inventory works in the same way as the transport items command. If the Rat has the Lumberjack or Miner upgrade, it will go in search of trees or ores to gather.
  • Gather stuff: The rat will search the surrounding area for any type of dropped object (craft whitelist or blacklist upgrades to limit their choices). Using a Cheese Staff to set a deposit inventory works in the same way as the transport items command.
  • Prey: The rat will go for minor or hostile mobs. Be warned that non-upgraded rats are relatively weak and easy to kill by monsters by default. Using a Cheese Staff to set a deposit inventory for mob drops works similarly to the transport goods command.
  • The rat inventory page also allows users to access the rat's holding item, as well as equip it with a helmet, banner, or headgear and manage its improvements.
  • Rats may be made with a plethora of improvements, ranging from simple health and speed enhancements to large strength and armor gains, as well as additional skills such as preparing meals and carrying entire stacks of things. The majority of these improvements can be made with cheese and diamonds.

Players may put rats in cages by first carrying them on their shoulders and then interacting with the cage. They can get out of the cage by engaging with it again. Rats of opposite genders in the same cage will breed if a Rat Breeding Lantern is present. Their offspring have a risk of inheriting novel color mutations not found in their parents. Rat cages can also be embellished with rat cage decorations.
