The preparations for the next The Wild update are well underway. Since its announcement on October 16, 2021, Mojang has released three beta releases to provide consumers a taste of the planned content on the Bedrock Edition's different platforms.

The game's first beta/preview version, named 1.19.0.26, introduced the mangrove swamp biome, mangrove wood, muck, and its varieties, as well as several bug patches. The second version, 1.19.0.24, introduced echo shards and recovery compasses, as well as the Swift Sneak enchantment.

The update also deleted the copper horn that had been included in the experimental version of the game and repaired problems.

On April 20, 2022, Bedrock Edition beta 1.19.0.26 was published. This version of the beta program includes four new music tracks to the game, titled "Ancestry," "Aerie," "Firebugs," and "Labyrinthine."


Aside from that, a slew of modifications can be noted, some of which are described below:

  • By placing Mangrove Roots and Mangrove Propagule in a composter, players may now generate bonemeal. 
  • Flora such as saplings, grass, and flowers can be planted on top of mud blocks by players. 
  • Changes to the shrieker model in sculk. 
  • Textures are changed to boat and "boat with the chest." Ancient City chests contain Echo shards. 
  • Along with many other updates, the Warden now has a ranged strike to counter players who try to avoid it by building up. 
  • Changes to the world generation and the texturing of the Ancient Cities.
